Sarì Space is a community initiative creating intimate, safe, and joyful spaces for sapphics (wlw, queer women, including transwomen and non-binaries) and their allies.

The name is rooted in the Tagalog word sarì (with a glottal stop), which means diversity, variety, and plurality, and serves as the root of kasarìan—the Filipino word for gender. In embodying this name, Sarì Space celebrates the vibrant spectrum of sapphic identities and stories in the Philippines.

Dedicated to fostering queer joy and inclusivity, we organize and host sapphic events in all-women and non-binary spaces, centering connection, creativity, and camaraderie. Come by at our space!

What is one thing you still wish to see in the community? Whether it’s a physical space, a project, or a radical culture shift—tell us what’s missing and why you think it’s worth dreaming about. 

More free, safe queer spaces outside nightlife and commercial consumerism. Spaces grounded in care, education, and mutual aid, showing that our community’s survival depends on accessible sanctuary for absolutely everyone.

The struggle is real, but it is shared. And there is love. There is hope. There is community! Why do you think it’s necessary to celebrate and insist on queer and female joy? When we laugh, dance, or exist peacefully together, what are we actually reclaiming? 

Queer/female joy is a way to resist erasure because living loudly, lovingly, and unapologetically forces the world to see our collective humanity—proving that our shared existence was never meant to be a tragedy but a celebration.
